INITIAL SETTING : DATE AND TIME & OSD LANGUAGE

Initial setting is available in all operating modes.

To read the menus or messages in your desired language, set the OSD language.

To store the date and time during recording, set the date/time.

Turning the power on and setting the date and time

Set the date and time of your local area when turning on this camcorder for the fi rst time. If you do not set date and time, the date and time screen appears every time you turn on your camcorder.

1.Press the Power ( ) button to turn on the camcorder.

When you turn on your camcorder for the fi rst time, the Date/Time Set screen appears.

2.Select the date and time information and change the setting values by using the ▲/▼/◄/► button.

3.Make sure the date/time is correctly set, then touch the Ok button.

After setting, the date and time are automatically recorded on a special data area of the storage media.

The year can be set up to 2039.

This camcorder adopts a built-in battery. When its charged capacity decreases, saved user settings may be reset so be sure to charge the battery after use.

-When the battery use time is signifi cantly decreased, the battery is near the end of its useful life and must be replaced by a Samsung authorized service center.

-When keeping your camcorder with the battery fully charged, the user settings remain for 2 months or more.

-When the battery is discharged, the date/time is initialized to "JAN/01/2009 12:00 AM."
