4.1OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

a.Battery Installation

CAUTION

To protect the image intensifier, keep the lens cap on the objective lens when the monocular is not in use or when checked out in daylight conditions.

NOTE

At operating temperatures below –20°C (-4°F), alkaline bat- teries are not recommended, as operating life will be severely reduced. Lithium-iron disulfide 1.5V A A batteries or equivalent should be used below –20°C (-4°F).
