Taking pictures and videos
Putting yourself in the picture or video
Use Self Timer to create a 10-second delay between the time you press the Shutter button and the time the picture or video is taken.
1Turn the Mode dial to any Still mode for pictures, or to Video for videos, then press the Menu button.
2Press to highlight Self Timer , then press the OK button.
3Highlight On, then press the OK button.
4Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen. The Self Timer icon is displayed in the status area.
5Place the camera on a flat surface or use a tripod.
6Compose the scene. Take a picture or video as usual, then move so that you are in the scene.
The Self Timer light blinks slowly for 8 seconds (then quickly for 2 seconds) before the picture is taken.
The Self Timer turns off after you take the picture or if you change modes.
NOTE: The default video length is Unlimited. The video will stop when you press the Shutter button or when no storage space remains. To change the video length, see Video Length, page 15.
Self Timer is disabled if Burst is on (see page 14).
