SELF-TIMER

The self-timer delays release of the shutter for approximately 10 seconds after the shutter-release button is pressed.

1.Place the camera on a tripod, then press the drive-mode button until the self-timer symbol appears on the data panel.

2. Place the focus frame on your subject.

3. Press the shutter-release button all the way down; the self-timer delays release for 10 seconds.

will blink on the data panel. The self-timer lamp on the front of the camera will blink slowly during the countdown, then rapidly just before the shutter is released.

The autofocus and exposure is locked when the shutter-release button is pressed. Do not stand in front of the camera when using the shutter- release button.

To cancel the self-timer, press the self-timer button or turn the camera off.

The self-timer is automatically canceled after the shutter releases.
