SW012 specifications

The Yamaha SW012 is an impressive addition to Yamaha's lineup of professional audio equipment, specifically designed for sound reinforcement in a variety of settings. This subwoofer is part of a series that emphasizes power, precision, and portability, making it a fantastic choice for live sound, events, and installations.

One of the standout features of the Yamaha SW012 is its dual 12-inch drivers, which enable it to deliver a powerful low-frequency response that can enhance any audio experience. With a frequency response that extends down to 45 Hz, the SW012 ensures that deep bass notes are reproduced with clarity and impact, making it ideal for music genres that prioritize low-end frequencies, such as electronic dance music or hip-hop.

The SW012 also incorporates advanced technology, including a built-in high-efficiency Class-D amplifier. This not only provides ample power while maintaining a lightweight design but also enhances the overall efficiency of the system. The combination of a lab-tested amplifier with the drivers allows the SW012 to produce high sound pressure levels, making it suitable for larger venues without compromising sound quality.

In terms of connectivity, the Yamaha SW012 is designed for versatility. It features both XLR input and output connections, allowing for easy integration with a wide range of audio sources and other speakers. Additionally, the subwoofer’s onboard crossover control offers flexibility in adjusting the frequency settings, optimizing the blend between the subwoofer and the main speakers for a more cohesive sound.

Another noteworthy characteristic of the SW012 is its robust construction. The enclosure is built from high-quality materials designed to withstand the rigors of touring and live events. The durable construction not only contributes to its longevity but also helps reduce unwanted vibrations that can compromise audio fidelity.

Portability is also a key consideration in the design of the Yamaha SW012. With convenient handles and a relatively compact footprint, the subwoofer can be transported easily, making it an excellent choice for mobile sound applications.

In summary, the Yamaha SW012 is a powerhouse subwoofer that combines advanced technology, robust design, and ease of use. Whether for live performances, DJ setups, or fixed installations, the SW012 provides deep, impactful bass, making it a valuable asset for any audio professional looking to elevate their sound system.
