Flash mode indicator

Icon	Flash mode	Description
	Auto flash	If the subject or background is dark, the
		camera flash operates automatically.
		If a subject or background is dark, the
	Red-eye	camera flash works automatically and
		reduces the red-eye effect by using the red-
		eye reduction function.
	Fill in flash	The flash fires regardless of the available light.
		The camera controls the intensity of the flash
		automatically to suit the prevailing conditions.
		The flash operates with a slow shutter speed
	Slow synchro	to obtain a balanced, correct exposure. In poor
		lighting conditions the camera shake warning
		indicator ( Ã) appears on the LCD screen.
	Red-eye reduction	When the camera detects a shot with
		“red eye”, this mode automatically reduces
		the red-eye effect.
		The flash does not fire.
		Select this mode when capturing images in
		a place or situation where flash photography
	Flash off	is prohibited. When you capture an image
		in poorly lit conditions, the camera shake
		warning indicator ( Ã) appears on the LCD
		screen.
