• Turning the Camera on and off

Press the Power button to turn on the camera. The Power LED lights up in green. The zoom lens will extend when you turn on the camera

in Still image mode/Macro mode/Video mode.

 

Press the Power button again to turn off the

 

camera, the zoom lens will retract.

• Checking the Battery Level

Check the battery power level before taking pictures.

1. Turn the Mode dial to , , , or , then turn on the camera.

2. Check the battery power status that appears on the LCD screen.

Battery has adequate power.

Only half of the battery power left.

Battery power is low. The warning “Battery too low to take a picture,” or “Battery low, AF not allowed“ may appear on the LCD screen.

Battery power is empty. The battery need to be charged or the warning “Battery is depleted, camera is shutting down” will appear and the camera automatically turns off.
