Digital Zoom
Optical Zoom

1.Turn the Mode dial to or , then turn on the camera.

2.Press the Zoom in/Zoom out button to zoom in/out the subject. While you press the Zoom in/out buttons, a white square will show on the

Zoom status bar as illustrated. The white square in the bar indicates the zoom status. “T” stands for “Tele” and “W” stands for “Wide”.

The camera switches from optical zoom to digital zoom

when it reaches the maximum

optical zoom indicated with a “T”, where it stops momentarily. Keep the zoom button pressed and the zoom will switch over to digital zoom.

3.Now you can take pictures or record video clips under the zoom setting you just made. The zoom setting will remain after taking pictures or recording video clips. If you want to take a normal size picture or video clip, please use the Zoom out button to move the white square to the bottom of the bar.

NOTE:

Zoom feature is not available in Macro mode or during the recording of video clips.
