Connections

This chapter provides information on connecting your camera to a computer and to a television or video-cassette recorder (VCR).

Connecting to aTelevision or VCR

Using the EG-900 video cable provided with your camera, you can connect your camera to a television or VCR to view photos on a TV screen. Follow these steps:

1 Connect the cable to the camera by inserting the black plug into the video jack as shown at right.

Tips

When the lens is rotated to point in the same direction as the monitor, the television image will appear upside-down.

Connect the camera to the AC adapter (available separately) when you want the television to continue to display images even after the camera has entered “sleep” mode.

Depending on the country of purchase, your camera will be compatible with either NTSC or PAL video standards. Use a television that complies with the same video standards as your camera.

4 Turn the mode dial to A-REC, M-REC, or PLAY. The television monitor will mirror the image displayed in the camera’s LCD monitor.
