Overview of Rovio’s interface

Settings (Network tab)

Command

Description

 

 

 

 

 

IP Setup

Allows you specify IP settings for your Rovio and

 

 

 

router.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Automatically

Automatically select an IP address based on the

 

 

from DHCP

router’s DHCP settings.

 

 

 

Select this option if you do not want to specify an IP

 

 

 

address.

 

 

 

NOTE: Selecting this option disables the options

 

 

 

for manually setting Rovio’s IP address (i.e. Rovio IP

 

 

 

address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, and DNS

 

 

 

options).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Manually

Specify an explicit IP address for your Rovio.

 

 

 

 

 

Rovio IP address

Specify an IP address for Rovio.

 

Subnet mask

Specify a range of addresses to use with Rovio.

 

 

 

Use 255.255.255.0 if you do not have a specific

 

 

 

subnet mask.

 

 

 

 

Default gateway

Specify a default network node (gateway) to use with

 

 

 

Rovio.

 

 

 

The default gateway address should be the IP address

 

 

 

of your router.

 

 

 

 

DNS

Specify the DNS server. Used to resolve DNS names to

 

 

 

IP addresses for DNS names.

 

 

 

Refer to your router’s settings for reference.

 

 

 

 

Update

Save all settings specified on this tab.

 

Reset

Erase all settings on this tab.
