FOR CORRECT USE OF YOUR PRINTER

kMaintenance iCleaning

1Turn off the power, and remove the power plug from the power outlet.

2 Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the printer clean.

To remove stains

3Moisten a cloth with a solution of water and a mild detergent. Wring the cloth out well before using it to wipe the printer. Follow by polishing with a soft, dry cloth.

4Remove any dust from the ventilation holes on the front panel

hDust entering the printer from the ventilation holes will adhere to the prints and diminish their quality.

iCaution

hNever use benzine or thinner to clean the printer, as doing so may cause deforma- tion or paint peeling. Also, before using a chemically treated dustcloth to clean the printer, make sure to read all accompanying instructions.

hDo not allow pesticides or flammable substances to come into contact with the printer or paper tray. Also, do not allow rubber or vinyl objects to contact the printer for a long period. They may cause deformation, discoloration, or paint peeling.

kWhen not using the printer for a long period

hRemove the power cord.

However, when the power is interrupted for a long time, the printer functions may begin to not work properly. Periodically turn on the printer and use it to maintain the functions.
