Replacing the Button Battery
If the date/time settings menu displays when the camera power is turned on, the button battery has lost its charge and the date/time setting has been lost. Purchase a generic CR2016 lithium button battery and replace it using the following procedures.
•A button battery is installed in the camera when it is shipped from the factory.
1 Turn the Mode Dial to .
2Pull the button battery holder in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
Slip your fingernail into the slit and pull out.
3 Pop the old button battery out.
4Insert a new button battery with the negative electrode
5Replace the button battery holder. Please reset the date and time if the date/ time setting menu displays after you have replaced the button battery. (p. 65)
