The HDW-750P is a high definition camcorder recording to the HDCAM format. It can operate in either 25P progressive scan mode, or 50i

interlaced. It’s designed for the European HD for TV market, but has found many other applications, from corporate to commercials and movies.

The HDW-730S can operate at either 50i or 59.94i and is designed mainly for TV applications for the European or American / Japanese / 60Hz market.

This guide is designed for people using the Sony HDW-750P or HDW-730S camcorder who need some practical advice when preparing for a shoot. It’s pitched at a level that will make most

sense to people coming from a Digital Betacam￿ background, but will hopefully still be of use to those coming from film or other formats.
