Extras function

Extras option contains additional functions and settings:

Timer

In this option you can find your saved Timer Instructions.

Timer Instructions

All programmed recordings, programmed reminders and copies are listed in this screen. Also it is possible to programme new recordings.

Create newly

Create new timer instruction.

New recording

1With ▲/▼/◄/► select Create newly and press OK.

2With ▲/▼/◄/► select New recording and press OK. The function list for recording will be opened:

Manual recording:

Programme the recording manually. See page 51.

Current programme:

Record currently watched programme.

Menu item will only be indicated when EPG data is available for the current station. See page 50.

Following programme: Record following programme.

Menu item will only be indicated when EPG data is available for the current station. See page 50.

Recording via EPG:

Programme recording of a programme via the electronic programme guide (EPG). See page 50.

Open USB REC archive

Opens the USB REC archive. See page 51.

3With ▲/▼/◄/► select the desired option and press OK to proceed.

-New copy

You should copy recordings that you want to save permanently on an external USB hard disk.

1With ▲/▼/◄/► select Create newly and press OK.

2With ▲/▼/◄/► select New copy and press OK. The function list for USB REC archive

will be opened. See page 49.

3With ▲/▼/◄/► select the desired option and press OK to proceed.

-New memo (EPG event)

You can set a timer as a reminder for programmes which have not yet started.

1With ▲/▼/◄/► select Create newly and press OK.

2With ▲/▼/◄/► select New memo and press OK. The EPG will be called.

The TV will ask at the beginning of a programme if it should change the channel accordingly.

-Delete

Use this function in the overview of timer instructions if you want to delete recordings already programmed or end a running timer recording.

1With ▲/▼/◄/► select Delete and press OK.

2 With ▲/▼ select the timer instruction to be

deleted and press OK. Ahead of the entry appears a delete icon .

3 With ▲/▼/◄/► select Confirm delete option and press OK to delete timer instructions.

Select Cancel to return to Timer Instructions.

NOTE

When you have programmed timer recordings, the TV can only be switched off in the standby mode.

Software

This option allows you to have the TV software version always updated. You can download new software from different sources:

Software update

Via USB

Current software version can be downloaded from the SHARP Internet site and installed on your TV using a USB memory.
