4.Record the measurement in the sight glass.

5.Add 2” to this measurement and slide out the extension until the new measurement is read at the end of the fixed fence (Figure 28). NOTE: Be careful to set this correctly, because the scale on the sliding fence reads opposite the scale on the fixed fence.

6.Lock the extension fence to this new measurement by tightening the knob underneath.

7.With a 3mm hex wrench, loosen the set screws underneath the short movable fence extrusion (Figure 29), and slide the extrusion to 2” of the fixed fence (Figure 30). Tighten the set screws.

8.When using the telescopic extension, make sure the stop is positioned flush with the end of the movable extrusion.

9.The best way to check if all scales correspond is to make several test cuts on the different scales.

Wood Cap

After a period of use, if the wood protection cap at the end of the crosscut fence is cut away, a new one must be made. See Figure 31 for the correct dimensions.
