Tape operation

Warning note

Danger of damaging the motor antenna in a car wash

If you have installed a motor antenna, it will remain extracted when turning off the radio while the TIM timer is active. The antenna may also come out inside the car wash when the set is turned off and the TIM timer acti- ve.

TIM is inactive (TIM OFF), if the mo- tor antenna is retracted immediately after having turned off the set.

You can now drive through the car wash when the radio is off.

The car stereo has to be switched on.

Fast Forward/Rewind

The unit automatically switches to tape ope-

 

ration when a cassette is inserted.

 

Inserting a tape

 

• Turn on the set.

 

• Insert a tape.

Fast forward

The tape will be automatically transported

Fast rewind

to the playback position. Side A or 1 starts

to play.

 

During tape operation, “TR 1” or “TR 2” / Title selection (S-CPS)

Up

(track) will show on the display panel.

Down

 

Stop function by pressing

.

Do not power up the system again until you have left the car wash!

When “TIM ON” is shown in the display when turning off the radio, the TIM timer is active. The motor antenna remains pulled out.

Switch off the radio and press TIM.

The display briefly shows “STBY OFF”.

The antenna will be pulled in and will not be extracted until the unit is switched back on. You can now drive into the car wash.

Attention!

In order to prevent antenna damages, do not switch on the radio until you have left the car wash!

Insert the tape with side A or 1 facing up, the open side showing to the right.

Removing a tape

Press .

The cassette will eject.

Selecting titles with S-CPS

(Super Cassette Programme Search)

Use this function to skip () and repeat () recorded titles.

A maximum of nine titles can be skipped. To do so,

press the rocker switch as many times as required.

The number of titles to be skipped appears on the display panel.

If necessary, you can correct your entry by pressing the opposite rocker switch button.

Stop by pressing .

For a proper operation of the S-CPS function there has to be an unrecorded tape portion
