Changing volume presettings

(VOLUME MENU)

The following presettings can be changed in the Volume menu:

Power-on volume (ON VOLUME)

Volume presettings of traffic announce- ment (TA VOLUME), telephone/naviga- tion announcement (TEL VOLUME) and Volume reduction (MUTE LEVEL)

Signal tone (BEEP ON/OFF)

Speed-dependent volume increase

To call up the "VOLUME" menu:

￿Press the MENU/OK button ?.

￿Press the rocker switchor = re- peatedly until "VOLUME MENU" appears on the display.

￿Press the rocker switch : to open the menu.

The "VOLUME" menu appears.

Changing the presetting of the power-on volume (ON VOLUME/LAST VOLUME)

The device is factory set to play the previ- ously used volume after switch-on (but not to exceed the value 38). You can change the power-on volume.

￿In the Volume menu, press the rocker switch or = repeatedly until "ON VOLUME" is displayed.

￿Press the rocker switch : to open the menu.

￿Switch between the settings with the rocker switch or :.

"LAST VOLUME" (power-on volume same as switch-off) or

"ON VOLUME" (presetting the pow- er-on volume)

If you selected "ON VOLUME":

￿Adjust the desired volume with the rock-

er switchor = (levels 0 to 66).

Changing volume presettings for TA, TEL and MUTE

If the device switches a traffic announce- ment, phone call or navigation announce- ment, it always starts with the volume pre- set here.

In addition, you can assign a lower vol- ume up to the value 0 (mute) to the volume reduction (MUTE).

￿In the Volume menu, press the rocker switch or = repeatedly until these menu items are displayed:

"MUTE LEVEL": Presetting the volume of the volume reduction

"TEL VOLUME": Presetting the vol- ume of the phone call/navigation announcement

"TA VOLUME": Presetting the volume of the traffic announcement

￿Press the rocker switch : to display the setting.
