Scanning Programs

1Press the 6 () button to activate the Scan mode. The first 10 seconds of each track will be played back

in succession.

To stop scanning, press the 6 () button and deactivate the Scan mode.

NOTES

In case a 6-disc CD changer is connected:

In CD changer mode, press the “F/SETUP” button to illuminate the underlined portion of the FUNC indicator, and go to step 1 within 5 seconds.

In case a 12-disc CD changer is connected:

In CD changer mode, press the “F/SETUP” button to illuminate the underlined portion of the FUNC indicator, and go to step 1 within 5 seconds.

Track Search Function

While you are currently playing back and listening to a CD text compatible disc, you can search for tracks from its text to select the next track. For a non-CD text disc, you can search by track.

1Press the SEARCH button in the CD/Changer mode to activate Track Search mode.

2Select a desired track by turning the Rotary encoder within 10 seconds.

3Press the Rotary encoder to play back the selected track.

NOTES

Search mode in Track Search mode is canceled by pressing and holding the SEARCH button for at least 2 seconds.

In changer mode, a track can be searched from the currently playing disc by CD text or track.

Quick Search Function

You can search for tracks.

1Press and hold the SEARCH button for at least 2 seconds in the CD/Changer mode to activate Quick Search mode.

2Select a desired track by turning the Rotary encoder within 10 seconds. The selected track is played back.

NOTE

Search mode is canceled by pressing and holding the SEARCH button for at least 2 seconds in Quick Search mode.

Controlling CD Changer (Optional)

An optional 6-disc or 12-disc CD Changer may be connected to the CDA-9827/CDA-9826/CDA-9825 if it is Ai-NET compatible. With a CD Changer connected to the Ai-NET input of the CDA-9827/CDA-9826/CDA- 9825, the CD Changer will be controllable from the CDA-9827/CDA-9826/CDA-9825.

Using the KCA-400C (Multi-Changer Switching device) or the KCA-410C (Versatile Link Terminal) multiple changers can be controlled by the CDA-9827/CDA-9826/ CDA-9825.

See the Multi-Changer Selection section on page 19 for selecting the CD Changers.

NOTES

The controls on the CDA-9827/CDA-9826/CDA-9825 for CD Changer operation are operative only when a CD Changer is connected.

The DVD changer (optional) is controllable from the CDA- 9827/CDA-9826/CDA-9825 as well as the CD changer.

For operating MP3 with an MP3 compatible CD Changer, refer to "MP3/WMA Operation" pages 20 and 21.

1 Press the SOURCE/POWER button to activate the CHANGER mode. The display shows the disc number and track number.

NOTES

The source indicator varies depending on the connected source.

Press the BAND/TEL. button to switch the Disc mode in the CD/Changer mode.
