Changing or discon- necting your battery

When you purchase a vehicle, your dealer sets the Equalizer for the vehi- cle type.

Remember that when you change or disconnect your battery, the Equalizer settings return to the tC factory set- tings.

If this happens, it is recommended you set the Equalizer for the type of vehicle you purchased. For more details, please contact your nearest SCION dealer.

Changing the vehicle type Equalizer setting

Press and hold the SSP button until you hear a beep, and the current Equalizer setting is displayed. Turn the MULTI SELECTOR to change the vehicle type.

FIX-Equalizer mode changes as fol- lows:

SSP Car Type tC = SSP Car Type xB = SSP Car Type xD = SSP Car Type Flat

About ASL setting

If the battery is changed or discon- nected, you cannot setup the ASL setup option until the vehicle is mov- ing. “Not available” is displayed in the ASL setup option display of AUDIO menu.
