Custom setting – Changing the Ai-NET settings SET UP

DVD

Set to “DVD” when connected to the CVA- 1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R.

Operations can be performed using the CVA- 1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R’s main menu screen.

For details, refer to the operating instructions of the CVA-1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R. “DVD” is selected upon shipment from the factory.

CD

Set to “CD” when connected to an Ai-NET product (head unit) other than the CVA-1005R/ IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R (for ex.: CVA-1000R). Operations can be performed from the head unit.

For details, refer to “Operating from the head unit” (page 56).

Displays the setting contents.

Notes:

Press “RTN” to return to the previous screen.

If the Ai-NET setting is “CD” when used with the CVA-1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R, operation from the main menu screen is not possible.

If the Ai-NET setting is “DVD” when used with any Ai-NET compatible head unit other than the CVA- 1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R, volume is the only operation possible from the head unit.

To call the DVD video by using the CVA-1000R, switch the mode to “AUX” with the V. SEL button on the CVA-1000R.

When the Ai-NET setting is “CD”, the operable functions and displays may differ depending on the Ai-NET compatible head unit connected.

Turn off the vehicle’s ignition, then turn it on again.

Notes:

Cases in which DVDs cannot be played on the CVA-1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R side

When “DVD” is not displayed on the CVA-1005R/ IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R side menu screen

When DVDs cannot be played even when AUX1 is selected

This is because the DVA-5205P’s Ai-NET setting is set to “CD”.

Use the procedure described below to change the setting.

1.Remove the disc from the DVA-5205P.

2.Turn on the power of the DVA-5205P and CVA- 1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R.

Also start up the CVA-1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA- C800R monitor.

3.Press the CVA-1005R/IVA-M700R/IVA-C800R SOURCE switch and select “CD” from the menu.

4.Press the SOURCE switch, then select “V.SEL” from the menu.

5.In the V.SEL mode, select “AUX1”. This displays

the DVA-5205P screen.

6. On the DVA-5205P, set the Ai-NET setting to SET UP “DVD”. Refer to “Changing the Ai-NET settings”

(pages 36 and 37).

7.Turn the car’s ignition switch off, then turn it back on.
