frequency. If no buttons are pressed during the scan, the unit will continue to scan the band in use until all six channels are entered. In local (LOC) mode, pressing and holding the button for longer than 2 seconds will activate the STORE tuning feature which will automatically scan and enter up to 6 local area stations into the pre- set memories on the band in use.

cm DISC SLOT
With the label surface facing up, gently insert the disc into the slot until the
panel is returned to the normal upright and locked position. The
indication illuminates and becomes animated, CDP ON appears mo- mentarily followed by momentary display of READING; then the track number and elapsed time appears on the display panel. TRACK ap- pears directly above the CD track number to the right of the elapsed time readout.
CAUTION: This unit is designed for play of standard 5" (12cm) Com- pact Discs ONLY. Do not attempt to use 3" (8cm) CD- Singles in this unit, either with or without an adaptor, as damage to the player and/or disc can occur. Such dam- age will not be covered by the Warranty on this product.
cn TRACK SELECT
These buttons are used to quickly select the beginning of a particular track. With each momentary tap of the Forward Track Select button
( ), the next higher track number will be selected. Similarly, with
each momentary tap of the Backward Track Select button ( ), the next lower track number will be selected.
co CUE/REVIEW FUNCTIONS
( ) to advance rapidly in the forward direction or the Review
button ( ) to advance rapidly in the backward direction. During either function, the elapsed time within each track will automatically be shown on the display panel.
cp TRACK ONE POSITION (TOP)
During disc play, pressing this button returns to the beginning of the first track on the disc currently being played. The TRACK number 01 will appear on the display panel.
cq TRACK INTRODUCTION (INT) SCAN SELECT
During disc play, press this button to play the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc (INT) will appear on the display panel). When a desired track is reached, press the INT button again to cancel the function (INT will disappear from the display panel) and play of the selected track will continue. Intro Scan mode will also be canceled by activating Repeat Play cr or Random Play cs
cr REPEAT PLAY (RPT) SELECT
During disc play, press this button to repeat the play of the selected track (RPT will appear on the display panel). Play of the track will continue to repeat until the button is pressed again and the RPT indication disappears from the display panel. Repeat Play mode will also be canceled by activating the Intro Scan cq or Random Play cs functions.
