cs RANDOM PLAY (RDM) SELECT

During disc play, press this button to play the tracks on the disc in a random shuffled order (RDM will appear on the display panel). In Random Play mode, the Track Sselect function cn will also select tracks in the random order instead of the normal progression. The Random Play mode can be canceled by pressing the button again (RDM indication will disappear from the display panel) or by activating the Repeat Play cr or Intro Scan cq functions.

ct THEFT-DETERRENT LED

Located on the chassis behind the front panel, a light-emitting diode (LED) will flash when the panel is physically removed. The flashing light serves as a visual warning to the would-be thief that the unit has been disabled by removal of the front panel.

cu DISC EJECT ( )

During CD player operation, disc play is stopped when the front panel is folded down; the disc can then be ejected when this button on the front of the chassis is pressed. If the disc is not removed from the unit within approximately 12-15 seconds of being ejected, it will automatically be re-loaded into the unit to prevent it from being

accidentally damaged. The icon will appear on the display panel,

when in the normal upright and locked position, to indicate that a disc is loaded in the player. Play of the disc will then automatically begin from the first track on the disc.

If the front panel is folded down and disc play stops, but the disc is not ejected, disc play will resume from the point of interruption when the front panel is returned to the upright and locked position.

NOTE: Never leave a disc engaged in the player when not in use. Doing so can cause damage to the disc and/or mechanism of the unit. Always press the eject button and remove the disc when leaving the vehicle.

dl FRONT PANEL RELEASE BUTTON (OPEN)

This button is used to release the front panel to the fold-down position. To detach the front panel, press the button so that the panel drops to the lowered position. Apply slight pressure to the inner right corner of the panel and disengage the right side from the ball mechanism by pulling the panel toward you; then disengage the left side and remove the panel from the radio. To re-attach the panel, engage the panel socket on the left side first; then press the right side straight onto the chassis until the ball mechanism engages the right socket.
