■Quick keys

At the standby mode, the Four-way scroll key takes you to frequently accessed menus:

Scroll up key—Go to the contacts list.

Scroll right key—View the calendar. This key can be set to perform different functions depending on your network service provider.

Scroll down key—Go to the contacts list.

Scroll left key—Quickly create a text message.

■Indicators and icons

Depending on your wireless service provider and the model number of your phone, some or all of the following indicators and icons may appear in the standby mode screen:

Icon Indicates...

You have new text or picture messages. See “Text messages”, 31.

Your phone keypad is locked. See “Keyguard”, 22.
