3. Calling

Make a call

From idle screen

1. Enter the phone number using the alphanumeric keypad. If necessary, push up the slide first.

2. Press ( to dial the number.

3. Press ) to hang up.

For international calls, long press 0 to enter the "+" sign for the international prefix.

Using the phonebook (see "Contacts" on page 25)

1.Go to Contacts > View contacts to open the contacts list.

To search for a contact, enter the contact name (up to 5 characters) using the alphanumeric keypad, or select a contact from the list.

2.Press ( to dial the selected number.

For IP calls (China only), select LOptions > IP call.

You can preset your IP service number under Calls > Call options > IP dial.

3.Press ) to hang up.

Speed dial

On the idle screen, you can call a preset speed-dial number by long pressing a numeric key.

Set your speed-dial number before dialing it.

To assign a speed-dial key to a contact:

1.Go to Menu > Settings > General > Speed dial.

2.Select one of the locations (2 to 9).

3.In Contacts, assign to the location a contact from your phonebook.

In Phone number, assign to the location a preset phone number.

Answer and end a call

When receiving a call, the number of the caller may be displayed, depending on whether or not the calling party has chosen to display his or her ID. If the number is stored in the phonebook, then the corresponding name is displayed.

Answer the call: Press (, or push up the slide if you set Active slide to On under Menu > Settings > General.

End the call: Press ), or push down the slide.
