Locking and Unlocking Your Phone

You can lock your phone manually or set the phone to lock automatically whenever you turn it off.

To use a locked phone, you must enter the unlock code. A locked phone still rings or vibrates for incoming calls or messages, but you must unlock it to answer.

You can make emergency calls on your phone even when it is locked.

Press M > Settings > Security > Phone Lock

>Lock Now.

1.Press keypad keys to enter your unlock code.

2.Press key to lock the phone.

Unlocking Your Phone

Your phone’s unlock code is originally set to 1234. Your service provider may reset the unlock code to the last 4 digits of your phone number.

At the Enter Unlock Code prompt:

1.Press keypad keys to enter your unlock code.

2.Press key to unlock your phone.

Setting Your Phone to Lock Automatically

You can set your phone to lock every time you turn it off:

Press M > Settings > Security > Phone Lock

>Automatic Lock > On.

1.Press keypad keys to enter your unlock code.

2.Press key to activate automatic lock.

If You Forget a Code or Password

Your phone’s 4-digit unlock code is originally set to 1234, and the 6-digit security code is originally set to 000000. Your service provider may reset the unlock code to the last 4 digits of your phone number before you receive your phone.

If you forget your unlock code, try entering 1234 or the last 4 digits of your phone number. If that does not work, contact your service provider.

If you forget your security code or call barring password, contact your service provider.
