Saving, Editing, and Erasing PTT Groups

You can create up to 30 PTT groups. A group can include up to 30 members.

However, the total number of contacts you can save in your phone (including PTT and non-PTT contacts and groups) cannot exceed 99.

Creating a PTT Group

You can create a PTT group from a list of contacts in another group, or you can create a group from scratch by adding new contacts.

Notes:

You can establish a group only if your phone is provisioned by your service provider.

A PTT contact must be provisioned from the handset or a Web interface before you can add it to a group.

Press I.

1.Section Options b.

2.Scroll to Add Group and press .

3.Enter the group name and select Next b.

4.If no PTT contact names appear, go to step 5.

Scroll to the name of the PTT contact you want to

add to your new group and press . (If the desired contact is not on the list, go to step 5.) A check mark appears beside the contact name.

Go to step 9 when finished adding PTT contacts to the newly created group.

5.Enter the number of a PTT contact you want to add to the group.

6.Enter the name of the PTT contact you want to add to the group.

7.If you wish to add another contact, select Add New a.

8.Press Save b to save the newly created group.

When you are finished creating a new group and adding members to it, invitations are sent to the members asking for their permission to join your newly created group. The invitation includes your name or number and the group name but does not list all members invited. After accepting an invitation, a new member can select the group name and view the list of members.

Adding a Member to a PTT Group

Press I.

1.Highlight the group and select Options b.

2.Press the center key to go to the Add Member screen.

3.Scroll to the name of the member you want to add to the group.

Note: If no PTT contact names, or if the desired contact is not on the list, then complete steps 4 through 7 of “Saving, Editing, and Erasing PTT Groups” on page 46.

4.Press to choose Select. A check mark appears beside the contact name

5.Press S right to select Save, then press .

Your phone sends an invitation to the members you have added to the group.
