Putting music files onto the memory card

Music files can be put onto the memory card by either using an optional memory card reader for your computer or by using an optional KX5 USB cable and placing the KX5 into Mass Storage Mode.

Note: Use only a previously formatted memory card when loading music files.

Using a Memory Card Reader

1.Connect the memory card reader to your computer.

2.Insert the memory card into the memory card reader. Locate the Removable disk drive on your computer.

3.Locate the music files to be placed onto the memory card and “drag and drop” them to the Removable disk drive.

Note: The KX5 supports the following music

file types: .mp3, .aac, .mp4, .3gp, .3g2, .m4a and m4b.

4.Place music files into the “Music” folder located on the memory card.

Using a KX5 USB cable

1.Load the USB Drivers CD onto your computer and follow the on-screen prompts. (This is only required during the initial set-up).

2.Plug the USB cable into bottom of the KX5

3.Plug the USB cable into a USB port on your computer.

4.On the phone select Menu Settings USB Storage Enabled.

5.our KX5 phone will now be 'viewed' by your computer as a 'Mass Storage Device'

6.On your computer double click on 'My Computer'

7.You will see the Transflash Card inserted in the KX5 as a Removable disk drive.

8.Double click on the appropriate Removable Disk drive

9.Double click on the Music folder.
