Note: Formatting or reformatting a card erases all data and music files that were previously saved on the TransFlash card.

1.Lift the TransFlash cover up. (See item 18 in the picture on page 4).

2.Hold the card with the metal contacts facing up and push the card in the slot until it clicks into place.

3.Close the cover.

4.Select Menu Settings Memory card Format card.

5.Press the left softkey to select Yes and format the card.

6.The message “Card now ready for use.” appears after completion.

Saving files on the card

You can manage music and video files on the memory card by using either the provided USB cable (Windows 2000 and XP users) or an optional memory card reader (Windows 2000, XP and Mac users).

Note:

To purchase a memory card reader, visit www.kyocera-wireless.com/store.

Use only a previously formatted memory card when loading music files.

If you receive an out of memory message, you will need to delete files from either My music or My videos before you can continue to save new files.

Using the USB cable (Windows 2000 and XP users only)

1.Make sure the TransFlash card is inserted into the slot on the side of the phone.

2.Turn on your phone and connect it to your computer using the provided USB cable. The phone will now be recognized as a removable disk and will show up as a new available drive under “My Computer.”

3.Manage your music files by dragging and dropping MP3 and WMA files between the “My music” folder and your computer.

4.Manage your video files by dragging and dropping 3GP files between the “My videos” folder and your computer.

5.To properly disconnect your phone from your computer, double click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the System Tray on your computer. Follow the prompts to Stop or remove a Mass Storage Device

When you are done managing music and video files, unplug the USB cable and press .
