The phone supports two types of text entry, Multitap, and T9™ predictive text input. For more information, see Text entry: The basics on page 27.

1.Enter the text of your message.

2.To send the message, select Options>Send.

Shortcut keys

The * key switches between different case entry methods. The text entry icon at the top of the screen shows text entry modes. The book symbol on the icon shows that you are in text-entry mode.

Upper case letters “ABC” indicate upper case mode.

“Aa” indicates that the first letter of words is capitalized. All other letters are lower case.

“abc” indicates lower case mode.

The middle symbol indicates the text entry method. “T9” indicates T9™ predictive text input. If the middle space is empty, then the current text entry method is multitap.
