Reception in FM Stereo mode provides the “fuller” sound available in broad- casts that feature an FM stereo signal.

lPress the FM ST/MONO button to set the tuner to FM Stereo mode before you start tuning for a station. The FM AUTO message appears on the display.

lWhile you are tuning, the “STEREO” message lights on the display whenever you’re receiving a station in clear FM stereo.

lIf reception is weak in FM Stereo mode, press the FM ST/MONO button to turn the FM Stereo option off (“FM AUTO” message not displayed). This will improve reception by reducing static (but will also cancel the stereo effect).
