Selecting a Source of Sound

The source selector buttons - TUNER, TAPE, CD, and AUXIAV - indicate the sources of sound available to you through the system.

lTo select a source of sound, simply press the button that represents the desired source. The system shifts to the selected source.

Adjusting Volume

lTurn the VOLUME dial clockwise to increase volume. Turn it counter- clockwise to decrease volume.

NOTE: The “mute” function is available through the remote control. Press the MUTE button to suspend the output of sound. Press MUTE again to restore volume to the current setting.

Adjusting Balance

lTurn the BALANCE dial clockwise to increase the proportion of sound delivered to the Right speakers.

l Turn the BALANCE dial counterclockwise to increase the proportion of sound delivered to the Left speakers.

. Set the dial to the “center” position to deliver the same load of sound to all speakers.

Selecting Equalizer Settings

lPress the button that provides the set of frequency adjustments that you find most suitable to your listening material or listening taste.

You can select from JAZZ, POP, ROCK, CLASSICAL, or FLAT (all frequen- cies given equal emphasis).

When you select a setting, the display shows the graphic equalizer adjustments for that setting.

Bass Boost

Use BASS BOOST to increase the bass response delivered to all connected speakers, both front and surround.

lPress the BASS BOOST button to activate this option (“BASS BOOST” message appears on the display).

lPress the button again to turn the option off (BASS BOOST message not displayed).
