Selecting the Compact Disc Player

lTo select the compact disc player, press the CD selector button. The system will now operate with the CD player as the selected source of sound, available for playback or recording.

Loading and Removing Discs

The disc tray holds up to 3 compact discs, accommodating either 5-inch or Sinch sizes. To load discs:

lPress the OPEN/CLOSE button. The disc tray slides out.

lPlace discs on the tray, label side up.

lIf necessary, press the DISC SELECT button to rotate the tray and provide access to the rear compartment.

NOTE: Discs play in numerical sequence (first 1, then 2, then 3). If you want to play the discs in a particular sequence, insert them in the desired order.

NOTE: When you switch to POWER ON mode, the disc in the rear com- partment (beneath the laser arm) is recognized as disc 1. If the rear com- partment is empty, the CD player will recognize the first disc it accesses as disc 1.

lPress OPEN/CLOSE to close the disc tray.

NCYTE: To play a Sinch (8 cm) disc, be sure to place it in the recessed inner circle of the disc tray. Never place a standard !5-inch (12 cm) disc on top of a Sinch disc.

To remove discs:

lPress H (STOP) to stop play.

lPress the OPEN/CLOSE button. The disc tray slides out, allowing you to remove discs.

lPress DISC SELECT to rotate the tray and provide access to the rear disc compartment.

lPress OPEN/CLOSE to close the disc tray.

Playing Discs

lLoad the discs you want to play, as described in the previous section.
