Note: If there is a thin sheet of plastic on the console, remove it.

CAUTION: Before operating the console, read the following precautions.

Do not stand on the walking belt when turn- ing on the power.

Always wear the clip (see the drawing at the right) while operating the treadmill.

Adjust the speed in small increments to avoid sudden jumps in speed.

To reduce the possibility of electric shock, keep the console dry. Avoid spilling liquids on the console and place only a sealed water bottle in the water bottle holder.

STEP-BY-STEP CONSOLE OPERATION

Before operating the console, make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in (see page 8).

Next, locate the circuit break- er near the power cord. Make

sure that the circuit breaker is Reset in the reset position.

Stand on the foot rails of

 

the treadmill. Find the

 

clip attached to the key,

and slide the clip onto

the waistband of your

 

clothes.

 

Next, insert the key fully into the console. After a moment, the displays will light. Test the clip by care- fully taking a few steps backward until the key is pulled from the console. If the key is not pulled from the console, adjust the position of the clip.

Follow the steps below to operate the console.

1 Insert the key fully into the console.

A few seconds after the key is inserted, the dis- plays will light.

2 Pressbelt. the Speed button to start the walking

A moment after the button is pressed, the walking belt will begin to move. Hold the handrails and begin walking.
