Automatic selection of the station when using the number buttons
Usually when you press the number button, the preset station is tuned in.
However, when the preset station is an RDS station, something different will happen. If the signals from that preset station are not sufficient for good reception, this unit starts searching another station broadcasting the same program as the original preset station is broadcasting, then if any station broadcasting the same program is found, the station will be tuned in.

Changing the display mode while listening to an FM RDS station
You can change the initial indication on the display to either station name (PS) or to station frequency, while listening to an FM RDS station.

1Press and hold SEL (Select) for more than 2 seconds so one of the PSM items appears on the display.
2Press ¢ or 4 until “TUNER DISP (Display)” appears on the display.
3Press + / – to select the desired indication (either station name or station frequency).

4Press SEL again to finish the setting.
Note:
By pressing DISP, you can also change the display while listening to an FM RDS station.
Each time you press the button, the following information appears on upper part of the display:
PS (Station name) Station Frequency PTY (Program type)
Then, the display goes back to the original indication in several seconds.
Setting the TA volume level
You can preset the volume level for TA Standby Reception. When a traffic program is received, the volume level automatically changes to the preset level.

1Press and hold SEL (Select) for more than 2 seconds so that one of the PSM items appears on the display.
2Press ¢or 4 until “TA VOLUME” (with its current setting) appears on the display.
3Press + / – to set to the desired volume.
4Press SEL again to finish the setting.
