Reinforcing the Bass Sound

The richness and fullness of the bass sound is clearly maintained regardless of how low you set the volume —Active Hyper Bass Pro.

This function also affects the sound from headphones.

This function affect neither recording nor the signals output through the DVD OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT terminal.

To get the effect, press AHB PRO repeatedly so that “AHB PRO 1” or “AHB PRO 2” appears in the main display.

The AHB PRO indicator also lights up on the display.

Ex.: When you select “AHB PRO 1.”

Each time you press the button, the Active Hyper Bass Pro mode changes as follows:

AHB PRO 1 AHB PRO 2

AHB PRO OFF

(canceled)

• “AHB PRO 2” is more effective than “AHB PRO 1.”

To cancel the effect, press AHB PRO repeatedly until “AHB PRO OFF” appears in the main display.

The AHB PRO indicator goes off.

Adjusting the Tone

You can adjust the bass and treble sounds as you like.

This function also affects the sound from headphones.

This function affect neither recording nor the signals output through the DVD OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT terminal.

There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is canceled before you finish, start from step 1 again.

On the remote control:

1 Press BASS/TREBLE.

Each time you press the button, “BASS” and “TREBLE” appears in the main display alternately.

BASS: Select when you adjust the bass level.

TREBLE: Select when you adjust the treble level.

2 Press VOLUME + / – to adjust the tone level.

You can adjust the tone level within the range from “–1” to “+5” by 1 step. (“0” is the initial setting.) To increase the tone level, press VOLUME +. To decrease the tone level, press VOLUME –.

When selecting other levels than “0,” the TONE indicator lights up.

On the main unit:

1 Press BASS or TREBLE.

Press BASS when you adjust the bass level.

Press TREBLE when you adjust the treble level.

2 Turn VOLUME + / – control to adjust the tone level.

You can adjust the tone level within the range from “–1” to “+5” by 1 step. (“0” is the initial setting.)

To increase the tone level, turn VOLUME + / – control

clockwise.

To decrease the tone level, turn VOLUME + / –

control counterclockwise.
