Operating the On-Screen Menu

Continued

Using the on-screen menus, you can store the initial selection for subtitle languages and audio languages (sound) for DVD playback as well as other settings.

The on-screen menu disappears if no operation is done for five minutes.

Basic Procedure

The on-screen menu appears only when the selected source is DVD, SVCD or VCD on the DVD/SVCD/VCD/CD player and the disc is not played back.

Buttons you use to operate on-screen menus (on the remote control)

• Press to show or erase the on-screen menu.

• Press to select the item.

• Press to enter into sub-menu.

• Press to enter your selection.

On-screen menus

• LANGUAGE menu (see page 39)

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Press CHOICE.

LANGUAGE menu appears.

2 Press Cursor 3 or 2 to move to the menu you want—LANGUAGE, AUDIO, DISPLAY, or SYSTEM.

Selected item changes its color to green.

4 Press Cursor 3 or 2 to select a proper setting you want.

When selecting “EXPERT” for “SPEAKER SETTING” on AUDIO menu, press ENTER. (See page 39.)

5 To set the other items on the same menu, repeat steps 3 and 4.

To set the other items on the different menus, repeat steps 2 to 4.

6 When finished, press Cursor to move to “EXIT,” then press ENTER.

The on-screen menu disappears.

To exit from the on-screen menu any time during the

above procedure, press CHOICE. The settings you have done by that time will be stored.
