DRY IRONING

Insert the plug into the wall socket.

Ensure that the dry/steam selector button (C) is in position“0”.

Select the setting on the temperature control dial best suited for the fabric to be ironed.

When the indication light has switched off, iron- ing may commence.

STEAM-IRONING

As indicated on the temperature control dial and the temperature table, steam ironing is only possible at higher ironing temperature.

Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank.

Stand the iron upright.

Insert the plug into the wall socket.

Set the temperature control dial to the steam position.

Wait a little while for the power indication light to switch off and to come on again.

Set the dry/steam selector knob to the steam position. The steam will emerge from the vents in the sole plate when the iron is held in the horizon- tal position.

CARE AND CLEANING

Before cleaning the iron, ensure it is discon- nected from the power supply and has completely cooled down.

Deposits and other residues on the soleplate can be removed with a rough cloth soaked in a vinegar/water solution.

The housing/body may be wiped with a damp cloth and then polished with a dry one.

Do not use abrasives on the sole plate.

Keep the soleplate smooth: avoid hard contact with metal objects.

NOTE: Ironing dirty fabric or fabric not rinsed fully will result in the iron sticking and dirt accumulating on the bottom of the soleplate, as will an iron set at too high a temperature for the relevant fabric.

STORAGE

Turn the temperature control dial to “MIN” and set the steam selector dial to position “0”. (“0”=No Steam).

Disconnect the plug from the wall socket.

Pour any remaining water out of the water tank. Then cover the filler cap.

Stand the iron upright and let it cool down completely.

The power cord can be wraped around the iron when it has cooled down.

• Always store the iron in an upright position.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

Note: When using the iron for the first time, test on an old piece of fabric to ensure that the sole plate and water tank is completely clean.

SAFETY PROTECTIVE CUT – OUT

In the unlikely event of the thermostat failing, the protection cut – out will operate to prevent the iron overheating. The iron should then be taken to an authorized dealer/service agent for repair.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

•Please read all instructions before use.

Ensure the voltage rating on the rating label corresponds to the main voltage in your home.

Use the iron only for its intended use.

The iron should always be switched off before connecting or disconnecting from the power supply. Never yank/pull the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.

Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or plug. Never use the iron if it is damaged in any way. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it to a qualified service centre for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembling can cause electric shock when the iron is used.

When leaving the appliance momentarily always switch it off, remove the plug from the wall socket and stand the iron on its rear panel.

Take care that children cannot touch the iron when the iron is hot and make sure they cannot pull the mains cord.

•To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron, cord or plug in water or other liquids.

Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts,
