Installation

Positioning

Install the machine on a flat hard floor.

Make sure that air circulation around the machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Check that the machine does not touch the wall or other kitchen units.

The floor surface must be clean and dry, without any wax or polish residue to avoid any possibility of sliding. Do not use viscous substances to move the appliance into place by sliding it across the floor.

It is inadvisable to place the machine on long-haired rugs or carpet or on layers of foam-rubber as this would affect its stability.

Before placing it on small tiles, apply a rubber coating.

If the appliance is positioned on flexible floors, especially wooden beams with flexible floorboards, use a 15 mm thick, water resistant panel of wood, screwed to at least two of the floor beams. If possible, position the machine in a corner of the room, where the beams are more solidly fixed and tend to be more stable.

Never try to correct any unevenness in the floor by putting pieces of wood, cardboard or similar materials under the machine.

If it is impossible to avoid positioning the machine next to a gas cooker or coal-burning stove, an insulating panel (85x57 cm) covered with aluminium foil on the side facing the cooker or stove, must be inserted between the two appliances;

The machine must not be installed in rooms where the temperature can drop below 0.

The water inlet hose and the drain hose must not be kinked.

Levelling

Level the appliance by loosening or tightening the feet.

Once in the right position fix the feet by pushing the nuts against the base of the case.

Never place cardboards, wood or similar material under the machine to compensate for any unevenness in the floor.
