Types of washing and care symbols

Care symbols help you to choose the correct wash programme. Washing should be sorted by type and according to care symbols. The tempera- tures indicated on the care symbols are the maximum wash tempera- tures.

Cottons O

Cotton and linen items with this care symbol are not sensitive to ma- chine washing or high temperatures. The COTTONS programme is suita- ble for such items.

Coloureds M J

Cotton and linen items with this care symbol are not sensitive to ma- chine washing. The LINEN/EASY-C. programme is suitable for such items.

Easy-care items N K

Materials such as fine cotton, cotton-blend fabrics and synthetics with these care symbols require a gentler machine wash. The LINEN/EASY-C. and EASY IRON programmes are provided for use with such items.

Delicates L

Materials such as layered fibres, micro-fibres, synthetics and curtains with this care symbol require careful handling. The DELICATES pro- gramme is suitable for such items.

Viscose K L

Modern materials such as viscose, cupro, lyocell, modal etc. require es- pecially careful handling. The FASHION programme is suitable for such items.

Lingerie K L

The LINGERIE programme is suitable for fine and delicate items made of polyester, polyamide and mixed fabrics with these care symbols.

Wool, silk and especially delicate items W L H

Fabrics such as wool, wool blends and silk with these care symbols are particularly sensitive to machine washing. The WOOLLENS H and SILK H programmes are suitable for such items.

Important: Items with care symbols G (Do not wash!) must not be washed in washing machines.
