Introduction of DAB operation

You can use this product with a separately sold hide-away DAB tuner (GEX-P700DAB). For details concerning operation, refer to the DAB tuner’s operation manuals (This product is a head unit group 1 unit). This section provides information on DAB operations with this prod- uct which differs from that described in the DAB tuner’s operation manual.

1TEXT indicator

The currently received service has a dynamic label.

2EXTRA indicator

The currently received Service has a Secondary Service Component.

3W (THR 2) indicator *

Shows when Weather (Area Weather Flash) function is on.

4A (NNC 2) indicator *

Shows when Announce function is on.

5NET indicator

Shows when Service Follow function is on.

*If the set announcement support is received, the letters in parentheses light.

If the set announcement support is received,

the icon , lights.

Changing the Label

Each press of the DISPLAY changes the display in the following order:

Service LabelSC Label (Service component label)—DAB TEXT (Dynamic label)—Ensemble LabelPTY (PTY label)

Notes

With a service component that has no service component label or dynamic label, switching to service component label and dynamic label is not possible.

With displays other than service label, if you do not perform an operation within eight sec- onds or press a button other than the DIS- PLAY, the display returns to service label indicators.
