2.2.4Data Terminal or Printer Connection

For the system administration (system setup, mailbox setup, and system diagnosis), the RS-232C terminal must be connected to a serial interface (EIA port) of the unit. If the VT100 or VT100 compatible terminal is used, the System Administrator can set up system parameters and diagnose the system with the conversational menu- driven program. Other RS-232C terminals can be also used.

If you wish to output reports and the like to a printer, it must first be connected to the system using a RS-232C cable. The wiring and parameters are the same as those for a terminal. The communication parameters of the unit have been set to the following values at the factory.
