Shift Pedal

Pressing this pedal softens the piano sound.

Sostenuto Pedal

Pressing this pedal sustains the notes that are being played at that time even after you release the keys.

Subsequently played notes are not affected.

Pedal Unit

Adjusters

(GT1 and GT2 only)

Sustain Pedal

Pressing this pedal sustains notes even after you release the keys. This produces a richer, fuller sound, as a sympathetic resonance occurs in adjacent strings.

Setting the Pedal Unit Adjusters (GT1 and GT2 only)

There are two adjusters underneath the Pedal Unit.You must set them so that the Pedal Unit is firmly clamped between the GranTouch underside and the floor. The Pedal Unit should not move when the pedals are pressed.

Warning: Failure to set the Pedal Unit Adjusters correctly can damage the Pedal Unit.

Opening the Keyboard Cover

1. Using both hands, carefully raise the

 

keyboard cover until it rests on the

piano body.

2. Fold the keyboard flap down onto the fallboard (no flap on the GT7).
