A non-combustible hearth is required. Non-combustible hearth must be a minimum of 32 3/4” to 37 5/8” wide (depending on face) x 12” deep and a minimum of 3/4” thick. When fireplace is raised a minimum of 3”off of the floor surface, no hearth is required.
