After Use

WARNING

To avoid burns – use heavy gloves to remove screen assembly and grates.

1.Completely extinguish fire before leaving. Extinguish fire by removing screen assembly and placing lid over firebox with damper closed.

2.Do not use water to douse the fire as this may crack the porcelain finish of the firebox.

3.Dispose of cold ashes properly.

4.Be careful – fire may be out but firebox can still be hot. Handle carefully.

5.Store in covered enclosure or disassemble and place in carrycase. See Storage section below.

Storage in Carrycase

1.Clean all components prior to storing in carrycase. This will prevent unwanted odors and extend the life of your fireplace/grill.

2.To disassemble, remove lid, screen assembly and cooking grate.

3.Disassemble the wire brace and telescoping legs from the firebox.

4.Insert cleaned cooking grate into bottom pocket of carrycase and close straps.

5.With legs in short position, insert them through the elastic straps inside the carrycase. Each leg should be held down by two straps.

6.Next place wire brace on top of legs.

7.Fold screen assembly by removing hinge pin and folding the screen sections over on each other. Then place folded screen assembly in firebox on top of charcoal grate.

8.Place firebox into carrycase. For best fit, orient firebox so handles extend out to match oblong shape of carrycase.

9.Place lid on top of firebox and zip carrycase shut.
