NOTE:If you previously logged off the system , you will now be required to re-enter the password to gain access to Span, Zero, Alarm, and Range functions.

4.3.4 Logout

The Logout function provides a convenient means of leaving the

analyzer in a password protected mode without having to shut the instrument off. By entering Logout, you effectively log off the instrument leaving the

system protected against use until the password is reentered. To log out, press the System button to enter the System function.

Use the < > arrow keys to position the blinking over the Logout func- tion, and press Enter to Log out. The screen will display the message:

4.3.5 System Self-Diagnostic Test

The Model 3010MB has a built-in self-diagnostic testing routine. Pre- programmed signals are sent through the power supply, output board and sensor circuit. The return signal is analyzed, and at the end of the test the status of each function is displayed on the screen, either as OK or as a number between 1 and 3. (See System Self Diagnostic Test in chapter 5 for number code.)

Note: Remote Probe connector must be connected to the Analysis Unit, or sensor circuit will not be properly checked.

The self diagnostics are run automatically by the analyzer whenever the instrument is turned on, but the test can also be run by the operator at will. To initiate a self diagnostic test during operation:
