Swing-Away Footrest (SFR) Removal

 

The swing-away footrests (SFR) can be moved or

 

removed to aid in transfers or transporting your wheel-

 

chair.

 

To move the SFR to the side:

 

1.

Push the release lever back. See figure 22.

 

2.

Move the SFR aside.

 

3.

Repeat for the other side if necessary.

 

To remove the SFR:

 

1.

Move the SFR to the side.

 

NOTE: If your wheelchair is equipped with the ultra

 

hemi option, the SFR must be facing forward and not

 

swung to the side for removal.

2. Pull the SFR up. See figure 23.

3. Repeat for the other side if necessary.

Swing-Away Footrest (SFR) Foot Plate Length You can change the SFR foot plate length between 13.25-22 in. (33.66-55.88 cm) in 1-in.(2.54-cm) incre- ments. This length is measured from the SFR foot plate to the top of the SFR. See figure 24.

To change the SFR foot plate length:

1. Remove the screws from the SFR.

2. Adjust the foot plate to the desired length.

3. Reinstall the screws into the SFR.

4. Repeat for the other side.

Elevating Leg Rest (ELR) Foot Plate Length You can change the ELR foot plate length between 13.25-22 in. (33.66-55.88 cm). This length is measured from the ELR foot plate to the top of the ELR. See fig- ure 25.

To change the ELR foot plate length:

1.Loosen the screws on the back of the ELR.

2.Adjust the foot plate to the desired length.

3.Tighten the screws on the back of the ELR.

4.Repeat the procedure for the other side.
