OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

MODEL 500KL

INSTALLING BATTERIES - Use only AA alkaline batteries.

1.The battery compartment is located behind scale head.

2.Place 6 new AA batteries into battery compartment. Make sure the '+' and '-' are positioned correctly, as shown on the bottom of the battery compartment. Replace the batteries when the display reads 'LobAt'.

3.Install batter cover.

4.120V AC adapter included ( model ADPT31).

NOTE: Dispose used batteries in accordance to your country’s national requirements.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING - Before first use and after periods of non-use, check the scale for proper operation. Disconnect the scale from the AC power source.

1.To clean the scale, wipe the outside of the scale with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Never place the scale in water or spray with liquid.

2.This scale contains electronic parts. Use it carefully. Do not drop, kick or jump on it.

3.Do not store scale near chemicals, heaters or radiators.

4.Do not store scale on its side.

5.This scale is an extremely sensitive weight device. Items such as clothing or towels placed or dropped on the scale may cause it to activate. In order to prevent run down of the battery, do not place anything on the scale.

1. BUTTONS

1.1ON/OFF: for tuning-on and turning-off

1.2ZERO: for tare function

1.3HOLD/RELEASE: for locking in and releasing the weight

1.4KG/LB: for changing the unit

1.5UP: for increasing height input (0.5cm/time)

1.6DOWN: for decreasing height input (0.5cm/time)

1.7BMI: for height input before BMI calculation

1.8CLEAR: for clearing incorrect height input

1.9ENTER: for confirming the input

2. TO START THE SCALE FOR WEIGHT MEASUREMENT

2.1Turn on the scale by pressing the button ON/OFF.”START” appears on the LCD. 4-5 seconds later,”0.0” shows.

2.2Measure the weight of the user after he/she steps on the scale. After the weight has stabilized, the stable weight icon and the weight will be displayed.

2.3The stable weight will be displayed until the user steps off the scale. Then “0.0” shows.

3.1After the operation of 2.1 and 2.2, the stable weight icon and the stable weight will be displayed. Then press the button “BMI”, and a number for height shows.

3.2Choose a right height or a nearest one by pressing the button “UP” or “DOWN”.

3.3Then confirm your input by pressing “ENTER” and your BMI displays. The LCD will return to weight display if the button “CLEAR” is pressing.

4.1After the stable weight icon and the stable weight show, press the button “HOLD/RELEASE” to activate hold function. Then the stable weight will be held, until this function is cancelled.

4.2After the hold function is activated, the user can cancel this function by pressing “HOLD/RELEASE”.

5.AUTO OFF FUNCTION - If the user does not press any buttons within 2 minutes, the scale will automatically turn off.

(Note: If it is powered by the adapter, Auto off function is invalid)
