INTRODUCTION:
To get the best out of your new hairdryer, please read through these instructions carefully before using it for the first time. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your hairdryer.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the hairdryer
• Incorrect use of the hairdryer may cause |
personal injury and damage to the |
appliance. |
• Use the hairdryer for its intended purpose |
only. The manufacturer is not responsible for |
any damage resulting from incorrect use or |
handling (see also Guarantee Terms). |
• The hairdryer may only be connected to 230 |
V, 50 Hz. |
• The hairdryer or cord must not be placed in |
water or any other liquid. |
• Never leave the hairdryer unattended when |
in use. Children may only use the hairdryer |
under the supervision of an adult. |
• This hairdryer is not suitable for commercial |
or outdoor use. |
•If the hairdryer, cord or plug is damaged, the appliance must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
•Remove the plug from the socket for cleaning.
•Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
•The cord must not be wound around the appliance.

• When in use, the air intake on the back of |
the hairdryer must not be blocked. If the |
intake is blocked, the hairdryer will overheat. |
If this happens, the overheat protection will |
automatically shut off the power to the |
hairdryer. Turn off the hairdryer, and remove |
the plug from the wall socket. |

• In order to avoid burns, you should avoid |
blowing hot air directly into the eyes or on |
very sensitive skin. |
Cord, plug and mains socket
•Check regularly that the cord and plug are not damaged and do not use the hairdryer if it is, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Check that you have removed all packaging from your hairdryer.
USE
•The first time the hairdryer is used, it may give off a small amount of smoke. This is because an extra layer of protective oil on the heating element is being heated up. This is quite normal and not dangerous, and will disappear after a short period of use.
•To switch on the hairdryer, set the speed selector (1) to one of the two positions above 0.
