2 Use

In this chapter, we consider that the terminal has been installed (battery charged with a maximum charge level), connected to the electricity and telephone network and initialised. For the installation (connections and battery charging) refer to chapter 3 “Installation and starting”.

Date and time

In order to extend battery life, the Ingenico 7780 terminal goes automatically into stand-by * after a few dozen seconds when it is not on the base.

The terminal comes back on if:

it is placed on the base, the green key is pressed.

* This option will depend on the application installed in the terminal.
