Answering Machine Setting
To set the following six functions you must enter the menu mode.
Standby | • With the phone in standby, use [menu/clock] to scroll through the menu options. | |
menu/clock | The system returns to standby and sounds a tone after the last menu option. | |
• If any of the following occurs during menu setup, the system returns to standby, and | ||
"Time" | ||
you will have to start over with the procedure you were performing: | ||
menu/clock | ||
- [talk/flash] is pressed | ||
"Security Code" | - [ ] (play/stop) is pressed | |
menu/clock | - 10 seconds elapse without a key press | |
- An incoming call is received | ||
"Ring Time" | ||
• If the system remains idle for five seconds after the announcement, the system returns | ||

menu/clock | to standby. Once [vol/select/ ] or [vol/select/ ] is pressed, the idle time is extended | |
"Record Time" | to 10 seconds. | |

"Message Alert" | mode. | |
menu/clock | • After the setting, press [ ] (play/stop) to exit the menu mode, or [menu/ | |
